SEA BIRD II

SEA BIRD II 261042 A 40 ft. steel-hulled vessel, built as a trapnetter. Subsequent owner, Charles Wood, Racine, WI converted her to a gillnetter, renaming her CHARLES W. Buckler Bros. Fishery, Leland, Mich. acquired the boat next, renaming her SEA BIRD II. The Bucklers later sold the boat to Jeff Weborg, Ellison Bay, WI. After some time Weborg sold her to Duane Peterson, Bayfield, WI. Peterson fished the boat out of Big Traverse Bay, Mich., for a time, then selling her to Gerald Jondreau. The boat is presently sitting ashore at Pequaming, Mich., north of L'Anse.
