Fish Tugs of the Greatest Lake

C&R: Built by T.D. Vinette Co., Escanaba, MI, in 1958 for Halberg Bros. Fishery, St. Ignace, MI. The 40-foot steel-hulled fish tug was equipped with a three-cylinder Caterpillar diesel, then a four-cylinder D3304 Caterpillar diesel engine. The Halbergs sold the boat to Joseph Bray, Munising, MI. The Bray family had ownership until late 2003, when they sold her to Jeff McDonald, Washington Island, WI. McDonald had the vessel trucked overland to Escanaba, MI, and then run from there to Washington Island.
